Janice Harris
Hello! My name is Janice Harris and I am the K-2nd grade School Counselor. It is a pleasure to support students’ academic, social, emotional and future development. I am committed to promoting the well-being and success of all students.
I am from Cleveland, Ohio and I came to North Carolina to attend college. I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees from North Carolina Central University. This is my 18th year as a School Counselor and my 7th year with NCCA. I have experience in early, elementary, middle and high school education.
I am married and I love spending time with my husband who is also my friend. When I am not assisting parents and students, I enjoy traveling and shopping. Occasionally I enjoy relaxing and watching my favorite TV shows.
I look forward to an outstanding school year!

Simone Griffin
Hello NCCA Family! My name is Simone Griffin and I'm your 3-5 School Counselor. In collaboration with Mrs. Harris, I will serve families through our comprehensive school counseling services to meet academic, social and emotional needs.
I am originally from Aiken, SC and stayed in South Carolina through my college years at the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks)! In 2014, I moved to North Carolina to complete my Masters in Education at UNC Chapel Hill (Go Heels)! After graduating, I spent three years as an elementary school counselor followed by two years as a 5th-8th grade counselor in Wake County.
When I'm not serving as a counselor, I love spending time with my husband, son and daughter. I also enjoy writing and calligraphy and watching football!
I'm thrilled to be a part of this school community and can't wait to learn and grow together!
