Your role could involve providing a supportive learning environment, offering technical assistance when needed, and helping your child stay focused. Your presence and support can make a big difference!

Volunteering

Volunteering in the class is an excellent way to be directly involved in your child's education. Check with your child’s teacher they may use your help with breakout rooms, celebrating student achievements, or recognizing student efforts. 

 

Help Support Elementary Field Trips

Elementary staff have divided the state into eight regions to plan field trips. If you'd like to share ideas or assist with a field trip in your area, please contact Ms. Pratt to be connected with a staff member in your region. (wpratt@myncca.com) 

 

Parent Teacher Conferences

Schedule and participate in parent teacher conferences to learn more about your student’s academic progress, while exploring additional ways to support learners at home. 

 

Serve on the School Improvement Team

Elections are held each year for parent representatives to join our school improvement team. This team of teachers, staff, and parents meets monthly, providing ideas, expertise, and monitoring of school improvement activities.
